Fresh Fruit Information
Fresh Fruit for Snack?
Lately, I have been on a health kick, and this means that I am
trying to buy different things in the grocery store. This is not a
problem when I go on my own, but when I have my husband with me at
the store, he often frowns at all of the fresh
fruit that I am putting into the cart. He likes fruit, but
he knows that I can’t seem to stop choosing what I want, and it
does add a lot to our weekly grocery bill. He doesn’t eat as much
as I do, but I have noticed that he is eating more of it now that I
keep buying it.
I know that fresh
fruit is one of the most important things we can eat.
I have been making sure that we have a vegetable with each meal,
and I prefer that my daughter eat fruit when she wants a snack.
This is something that is not a problem for her because I have
always tried to give her freshfruit from the earliest days. Once
she was able to eat it, it was something she had. She loves fruits
and I am glad that this is at least one thing that I know I have
done right with her.
Fresh Fruit Every Day?
Though there are times when there is not as much fresh
fruit available, you can usually find something in your
local store. I love to go to the local farmer’s market to get fruit
and vegetables, but that is not something I can do all year long. I
usually have to settle for what I can find in the winter months.
It’s not too big of a problem, but it seems that there is so much
less from which to choose. You can find some out of season items in
the store, but sometimes the prices are out of control and I have
to pass it up.
If you are worried about feeding your family fresh
fruits because you think they won’t like them, make sure you
buy the usual suspects. Almost anyone will love apples, bananas,
and oranges. Though you may think that your kids won’t eat
freshfruit, you might be surprised what they will eat when nothing
else is around. They may complain, but if you don’t give them much
choice, they will eat what they can find. It is up to you to
determine what they will eat, and you should always try to get them
started off right by giving them fresh fruit
whenever possible.
