Jelly Belly Information
Do You Like Jelly Belly?
I have a friend in Australia who spent a lot of time traveling in the United States when she was younger. She use to work for an airline, and
she always used her free flights to come to the US with her brother. They did a lot of traveling together, and they saw many things in the
country that I have yet to see myself, and I live here. She’s married now, and has a family. She no longer works for the airline, so she can’t
get over here as often as she would like to. We take turn sending each other packages, and she asks me for things that she liked while she was
here, but can no longer get. One of her most requested items are the Jelly Belly jellybean.
The first time I sent her a package, she asked for Jelly Belly, and
I went on a search. I could not believe that they were so hard to find. I finally found some, but they were in the bulk section of a local
supermarket. Not knowing any better, I simple got a bag full and paid for them. I stuck the bag of JellyBelly candy into her package and mailed
it off. Though the postage was expensive, I sent it first class air so that it would arrive to her within weeks.
Jelly Belly Candy Advice and Tips
We continued to talk online, and she was telling me how excited both she and her husband were to get the JellyBelly candy, and they watched
for the mail each day. It didn’t show up, and I was getting worried. After a month had passed we knew something was wrong. Packages and letters
back and forth from the US to Australia, or vice versa, sent by air always arrive in less than three week. Nothing had shown up. I was
beginning to fear the Jelly Belly package would never arrive.
After about two months had passed, the package finally arrived at my friend’s house in Melbourne. Apparently, I had made a huge boo-boo with
the Jelly Belly candy. There are laws about what can be sent into the country, and I had not followed those rules. Food items must be
prepackaged, and must have an expiration date on them. The Jelly Belly candies were in a bag from the bulk department, and did not have the
expiration date. Oops! Thankfully they finally went through, but only after customs could determine what they were and if they were okay to send
on through. From then on, everything I sent was packaged correctly.
